0.5.0: Parts and Crafts - April 14, 2026

With over 150 new items, including new furniture sets, dozens of cosmetics, and decorative food items, Parts and Crafts is our largest update yet.

Patch Highlights

• Crafting Stations: You can now build crafting stations directly on your ship, saving you a trip back to a station during your explorations

Crafting Stations

Instead of gathering items and flying back to Wednesday station, you can craft furniture, clothing, and even update your appearance from the comfort of your ship.

Crafting stations are unlocked for everyone and can be crafted at workbenches on Wednesday station.

Cosmetics

We’ve added a new prosthetic arm option, new shoes, new glove styles, updated the styles of our shirts and pants, and expanded our selection of hats, head coverings, and hairstyles. Character designs have also been updated to refine their proportions.

Some cosmetics will be unlocked through exploration and can be crafted at workbenches on Wednesday station or at crafting stations on your ship.

Designer’s note: For this release we made some changes to character proportions and bone weights, which means your characters may look slightly different post-patch. You can always resculpt your character at the Somaforming chamber, found on Wednesday.
